24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline
Counseling services at the Crisis Center provide both individual and group counseling – free of charge – to women and children victimized by domestic violence. Clients need not be a resident of the shelter to obtain counseling services.
Masters-level counselors provide clinical counseling services for the women and children who have witnessed or experienced by domestic and/or dating violence living in the community. Counselors address issues of domestic violence and guide victims through a personal service plan, which allows each client to set her own goals.
In FY2014, 4,000 hours of counseling were provided for 474 individuals, including 111 children who received intensive therapeutic intervention to process and heal from the abuse they experienced.
