* Due to the nature and the complexity of our services, the Crisis Center prefers a consistent and longer term commitment for volunteers in positions with direct client contact. These positions require completion of 40-Hour Domestic Violence training.
Application and Training Process
To volunteer, download our Volunteer Application. Send your completed application, along with any questions you may have, to volunteer@crisisctr.org.
Some positions require DCFS and IL Criminal Background checks before starting. The Crisis Center also requires domestic violence training appropriate to the position. 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training is required for all volunteers with regular direct client contact. Hotline volunteers receive additional training specific to their tasks. DV101 basic training is also required for some volunteer positions.
