We are partnering with Macy’s for the 10th annual national “Shop For A Cause” charity shopping event on August 29, 2015. Macy’s has provided CCSS with shopping passes to sell for $5 each. We will keep 100% of every shopping pass we sell. To purchase a shopping pass for $5, contact us at 708.429.7255.

Join the Village and Police Department for American’s Night Out Against Crime. Visit with police officers, firefighters and representatives from local businesses. FREE family fun for everyone! CCSS will be in attendance with a fun game and prizes and of course information about our services. Jean Lachat Photography’s LEAH project (love everything about her).  The LEAH project is held one day a month where single parents can come in for a family portrait, also $30, and receive an 8×10 print. Please contact Jean Lachat directly (708.263.7269) to schedule your session.

If you are interested in raising funds on behalf of the Crisis Center, please contact the Development Department at (708) 429-7255.

Ideas for how to help:

–  Collect pledges for an event that you are participating in, such as a run/walk, marathon, etc. (check out one donor’s quest to raise funds for domestic violence prevention)

–  Give a percentage of your business proceeds for a day (i.e. Dine to Donate, percentage of orders for particular items, etc.)

–  Host an event.  Groups in the past and present have done cut-a-thons, motorcycle rides, art shows, etc.  Be creative!

–  Collect donations for a discount at your business (i.e. collect baby care items for 10% off or gently used clothing for a free item).
