The Transitional Housing Program bridges the gap between emergency shelter and permanent housing. Victims of domestic violence may reside in a safe apartment for up to 12 months.
Families who are in the Transitional Housing Program continue to benefit from the counseling and life-skills training programs provided through the Crisis Center. They also receive assistance in securing independent, permanent housing.
In FY11, six families received 4,494 days of housing service.
For additional information, please contact a Transitional Housing Counselor at 708.429.7255.
