24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline
Counseling services at the Crisis Center provide both individual and group counseling – free of charge – to women and children victimized by domestic violence. Clients need not be a resident of the shelter to obtain counseling services.
In FY2011, 4,158 hours of counseling were provided for 547 individuals.
Counselors are trained to address issues of domestic violence and guide victims through a personal service plan, which allows each client to set her own goals. Counseling services are also available for children and adolescents who have witnessed or experienced domestic and/or dating violence.
What is gained from Counseling?
All counseling services are non-judgmental and confidential.
Call the 24-hour hotline at 708-429-SAFE (7233) for additional information or to schedule an appointment.
