‘The Crisis Center to Recognize Volunteer Spirit Award Winner at Bavarian Spring Fest’
Bavarian Spring Fest Celebrates Renewal for All
May 5, 2017 (Tinley Park, IL) – Bavarian Spring Fest will soon be here! The Crisis Center for South Suburbia (CCSS) and Committee is gearing up for Bavarian Spring Fest that will take place on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Water’s Edge Golf Club in Worth. For the past several years, Bavarian Fest has hosted hundreds of supporters from throughout the area seeking an afternoon of great fun, the opportunity to connect with the community, and a way to spread the word about the worthy cause.
This year’s event will recognize Denise Borkowski of Tinley Park with the 2016 Volunteer Spirit Award. Denise has been a loyal hotline volunteer at the Crisis Center for over 13 years. Her dedication to provide assistance to all clients in need has shined through every phone call and conversation she has been part of. “Denise has been a volunteer who is deeply committed to ending violence and abuse and a committed advisor of the Crisis Center”, says Abby Moran, Case Manager at CCSS.
The Sunday afternoon event will not only recognize special supporters like Denise but provide a fun day for all ages with entertaining games and contests, raffles for spectacular prizes, live entertainment provided by the The Bratwurst Brothers and more.
With a nod to German-themed fun, Bavarian Spring Fest will be held underneath a large tent overlooking the pond of Water’s Edge Golf Club. Additional special raffles include a weekend Michigan Get-Away at Pine Cottage Gardens and a customized picnic table with a vast supply of assorted beers, and chances to win cash with a lively Split the Pot. The experience of an authentic German-style dinner (bratwurst, breaded chicken cutlets, sour red cabbage, German potato salad and more) is another perk of the day, setting this CCSS fundraiser apart from many other spring fundraising events.
For those not able to attend the entire event or prefer not to eat are welcome and encouraged to attend with a $10 Admittance Ticket. CCSS is thrilled to host this event once again in Worth, IL, which is home to one of their two Neat Repeats Resale stores. They welcome Exelon and Neat Repeats Resale as the 2017 Premier sponsors.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 per person which includes dinner and two drink tickets. Day of tickets will be $35 at the door. Tickets are available at both Neat Repeats Resale locations: Worth: 7026 W. 111th St, Orland: 9028 W. 159th St. or purchased online at www.ccssspringfest.com.
